Absolutely! Our all-levels yoga classes are relaxed and casual, come-as-you are, do-what-you can. No prior experience or flexibility is necessary. If you can breathe, you can do yoga.
Unlike traditional support groups, we combine evidence-based techniques (like the Invitation to Change Approach©) with holistic healing approaches (like yoga and meditation). We focus on empowering you with not just support, but also with practical tools and a structured path to healing.
This is an online community so the essentials include:
• Computer, tablet, or smartphone
• Reliable internet connection
• Zoom capability and basic meeting navigation
• Headphones (optional)
Members must be sufficiently comfortable with basic technology to engage independently. If you require technical assistance, we strongly recommend having access to technical support before joining.
No, the mindfulness practices we offer are inclusive and non-denominational. We focus on evidence-based mindfulness practices for stress reduction, emotional regulation, and self-awareness—all critical skills for families affected by addiction.
Yoga and meditation DO have ancient spiritual roots, and presented as practical tools that complement any faith tradition or personal belief system. Members from all religious backgrounds (or none at all) are welcome to integrate these practices in ways that align with their own spiritual path.
The Serenity Circle respects all religious traditions and creates space for members to explore their own understanding of spirituality as part of their healing journey.
Everything inside the Serenity Circle is optional. You are always welcome to go at your own pace, tuning in when it feels right for you and taking breaks when needed. This is your journey, and it should feel supportive, not stressful.
That said, you get out of it what you put into it. While nothing is required, the more you engage - the more you'll start to see meaningful shifts in your yourself and in your relationships. If you're looking for results, showing up with intention and making time for your growth is key.
